Basta! Ancora invasioni, arresti, devastazioni dell’esercito israeliano a Nablus.

"Gli attuali raid, le chiusure, gli arresti e le confische portate avanti dall’esercito Israeliano contro Istituzioni, associazioni e persino scuole a Nablus sono azioni illegali, che rappresentano non solo una chiara violazione del Diritto Internazionale -e una maggiore sofferenza e ingiustizia della popolazione palestinese- ma anche un attacco diretto al Governo del Primo Ministro Palestinese Salam Fayyad, che sta dimostrando con ogni sforzo la sua volontà di mantenere l’ordine, la legalità e la sicurezza nella città e nell’intero Territorio Palestinese Occupato” ha dichiarato Luisa Morgantini, Vice Presidente del Parlamento Europeo condannando i recenti episodi avvenuti a Nablus, dove negli ultimi giorni oltre 50 veicoli militari delle forze israeliane sono entrate nella città, invadendo il comune, chiudendo le sedi di alcune associazioni di comunicazione, di assistenza medica e di donne, confiscando computer e anche forniture scolastiche e sanitarie.
"L’escalation dei raid israeliani è inaccettabile. Con una delegazione di Membri del Parlamento Europeo, lo scorso giugno, abbiamo visto lo sforzo dell’Autorità Palestinese per mantenere la sicurezza e abbiamo visto come questa sicurezza sia messa a repentaglio dalle azioni dell’esercito israeliano: incursioni, arresti, chiusure, bombe sonore esplose nel cuore della notte durante le invasioni, e ora anche l’ordine di chiudere il centro commerciale di Nablus, che include 50 negozi e uffici, minacciando con cinque anni di prigione chiunque vi entri. Questi ordini dell’Autorità militare israeliana sono illegali e senza alcuna validità, come ha denunciato giustamente il Primo Ministro Salam Fayyad, che si è recato a Nablus, ieri 10 luglio, chiedendo ai negozianti di riaprire le loro attività commerciali e di resistere in modo non-violento.
Fino a quando continuerà questo tipo di politiche, come possiamo credere veramente che il Governo Israeliano stia sinceramente cercando un partner per la pace e per i negoziati?
Al contrario, tutto questo rappresenta un attacco diretto ad ogni opportunità per la pace, mostrando l’arroganza dell’occupazione israeliana e l’ipocrisia del Governo israeliano, che afferma di sostenere la leadership palestinese, rappresentata dal Presidente Mahmoud Abbas e dal Primo Ministro Salam Fayyad, ma in realtà agisce in modo contrario, indebolendo loro e il loro ruolo politico sul terreno, insieme ad ogni possibilità di una pace giusta e duratura, da raggiungere attraverso indispensabili negoziati che portino alla fine dell’occupazione, a due popoli che vivano in pace e sicurezza in due Stati, sui confini del ’67 e con Gerusalemme capitale condivisa.
Il Quartetto, gli Stati Arabi, l’Unione Europea e chiunque dice di credere nella pace deve agire ora e chiedere al Governo Israeliano di fermare le sue pratiche illegali e inumane contro la popolazione palestinese e di lavorare per l’unità politica e geografica del popolo e del territorio palestinese”.

Enough! Israeli army again invades, arrests, vandalizes in Nablus.

"The ongoing raids, closures, arrests and confiscations actuated by the Israeli army against Institutions, associations and even schools in Nablus are illegal actions, representing not only a clear violation of the International law and more suffering and injustice against the Palestinian population but also a direct attack on the Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad's Government, who is showing with all efforts his willingness to maintain order, law and security in the city and in the entire Palestinian Occupied Territory" declared Luisa Morgantini, Vice President of the European Parliament condemning the recent episodes occurred in Nablus, where in the last days more than 50 military vehicles of the Israeli forces entered the city, invading the Municipality, closing the headquarters of some media, health and women associations, confiscating computers and even schools' and health equipments.
"The escalation of the Israeli raids is unacceptable. With a Delegation of Members of the European Parliament, last June, we saw the effort of the Palestinian Authority to keep security and we saw how this security is undermined by the actions of the Israeli army: incursions, arrests, closures, sounds bombs exploded during the nightly invasions, and now also the order to close the Nablus Mall, including 50 shops and offices, threatening anyone who enters the Mall to be imprisoned for five years. These orders by the Israeli military Authority are illegal and invalid, as also rightly denounced by PM Salam Fayyad, who went to Nablus, yesterday, 10th July, calling on shopkeepers and residents to reopen their stores and to resist in a non-violent way.
Since this policy continues, how can we truly believe that Israeli Government is sincerely looking for a partner for peace and for the negotiations?
On the contrary, all this represents a direct attack to all opportunities for peace showing the arrogance of the Israeli occupation and the hypocrisy of the Israeli Government claiming to support the Palestinian leadership, represented by President Mahmoud Abbas and PM Salam Fayyad, but in reality acting in the opposite way, weakening them and their political roles on the ground, with any chance for a just and sustainable peace, to be achieved by indispensable negotiations in order to reach the end of the occupation, two people living in peace and security in two States, on '67 borders with Jerusalem as a shared capital.
The Quartet, the Arab countries, the EU, all the people who says that they believe in peace should act now and call on the Israeli Government to stop its illegal and inhuman practices against the Palestinian population and to work for the political and geographical unity of the Palestinian Territory and people".
